In 1630 a great migration of Puritans began, with more than 20,000 coming to the New World seeking religious freedom. During this period Nathaniel Fish and Roger Goodspeed settled in Barnstable county. Goodspeed soon became one of the original founders of the town known as Barnstable.

Nearly 40 years after America won her freedom from the British monarchy, descendents of Fish and Goodspeed came together to create what is, today, the historic site of Honeysuckle Hill, listed on the National Historic Register, c. 1810.

Steeped in history and situated near the midpoint of the Mayflower landing party's search for a suitable settlement site, Honeysuckle Hill provides the perfect location for those seeking to experience the beginnings of our great nation.
