Located on a 200-acre estate at Sand Cove, Acadia’s Oceanside Meadows Inn, well known for serenity, relaxation, and warm hospitality was the historic home of sea captain, "Captain George Allen", built c. 1860 and totally restored to its former beauty by dedicated innkeepers.
Inside the inn, you are reminded of the buildings history and its original owner. The interior furnished with items reflective of the captain’s voyages around the globe, including inlaid screens from the east, fine furnishings from England, an exquisite carved elephant from India and many other treasures from around the world.
The inn’s beautiful private rooms feature ocean views, private baths, and garden fresh flowers. Each of the three large suites has its own living room area.
